Happy BLOGiversary! My Love For Cooking Turns ONE!

It is amazing to think that it has been a year since my husband finally convinced me to start this blog. At the time I was not sure if I could keep this going on top of everything else in my life. Even though I love doing this blog it has not always been easy keeping up. Life is a big, wonderful and messy and you have to be able to adjust.  We (my husband and food photographer) have definitely learned as we have gone along.

I have gained so much from this experience. It has been a fantastic and fun project for my husband and I to collaborate on. I have been able to slowly include my oldest little lovie as a a sous chef to start her off in the kitchen as well. One of the best surprises I have gotten is how warm and wonderful a welcome I have had from my fellow food bloggers. It is such a caring and warm group of people. I feel a sense of support and friendship that I hope to see continue to grow as time goes on.

As I look back on what we have accomplished I am very proud. We are by no means a viral sensation but we have come a long way and have had a lot of fun which is the the point after all. I would like to thank all of the people who have appreciated what we do here.  I am so grateful for all of the encouragement and interest in what I do here.  I truly have such a love for food and love to share that with others. This experience has allowed me to share my food with people all over the world. It is an amazing realization to look at it that way. This has been a chance for me to just be myself and share what I love to do and I feel so very lucky to have this outlet.

Me at my 5th birthday party.

I would like to give a special Happy Birthday to my Daddy (whom I miss every day). It was a happy coincidence that we debuted the blog on his birthday. I think he would be very proud. Happy one year to the little blog that could…..we have so much more to come! 🙂
