Rice Krispies Sushi

Rice Krispies Sushi

by Nicole on January 2, 2012

It is hard to believe but my baby girl just turned three years old. Being born on New Years Day was a seriously memorable and perfect way to begin a year and a beautiful little life. In honor of her “Bubble Guppies” themed birthday I made these little cuties for her and her guests. They are super simple and they were a big hit at the party.

Rice Krispies Sushi
Cook time
Total time
Serves: 12
  • 3 cups Rice Krispies (I used Brown Rice version)
  • 2 tbs butter
  • 2 cups mini marshmallows
  • 1 pkg Swedish Fish
  • 1 pkg Fruit Roll up
  • Frosting
  1. Melt butter in a sauce pan.
  2. Add marshmallows and stir till melted
  3. Remove from heat and mix in rice krispies
  4. Press into 8X12 greased pan (I used a glass one)
  5. Allow to set and then cut into about 1 inch rectangles
  6. Put a dab of frosting on each fish and adhere to "sushi rice" bottom
  7. Cut fruit roll up into thin strips
  8. Wrap each fish with fruit roll up

Superb blog! Do you have any helpful hints for aspiring writers? I’m hoping to start my own site soon but I’m a little lost on everything. Would you suggest starting with a free platform like Wordpress or go for a paid option? There are so many options out there that I’m completely overwhelmed .. Any ideas? Cheers!

Hi Devon

I am glad you are enjoying the site. I am not the biggest tech head but fortunately my hubby is :). From what I know we are using WordPress and it has worked wonderfully so far. What kind of site are you looking to do? I hope this helps.

Take care
