These cookies were one the first things my husband made for me when were dating. I had never had anything quite like them. We have since made them for many many occasions. They have become a mandatory item when visiting with my family. I fear they may be happier to see them then me sometimes.
I used a base Peanut Butter cookie recipe from Wit & Whistle.

Author: My Love for Cooking
Serves: 24
Ingredients
- 1¼ cup Creamy Peanut Butter
- 1 cup Margarine (do not substitute to get correct consistency)
- ¾ cup white sugar
- ¾ cup packed light brown sugar
- 2 eggs
- ½ tsp vanilla extract
- 2¼ cups all purpose flour
- 1 tsp baking powder
- 1tsp baking soda
- 1 cup chocolate chips (for melting)
Instructions
- Preheat oven 375 degrees
- Cream together the peanut butter, margarine, brown and white sugar. Then beat in eggs and vanilla
- In a separate bowl combine flour, baking powder and baking soda. Gradually stir the flour mixture into the peanut butter mixture.
- Unwrap mini Snickers
- Scoop about a TBS of dough and roll in a ball. Then cup in palm and press Snickers into middle. Cover bottom with cookie and shape into a round disk.
- Pop cookies on cookie sheet into fridge for about 3 minutes before baking (It helped to hold shape better)
- Bake for 9 minutes, turn and bake 3 minutes more (I know this seems oddly specific but this worked perfectly for me).
- Allow cookies to cool. Melt chocolate chips and drizzle on top.

I think the recipe sound wonderful. However, there is no mention of snickers in the ingredient section of the recipe. How many, what size, etc.?
So sorry for the oversight (I corrected it on the page). I used one bag of the mini Snickers and it was more than enough with some left over for snacking
They look delicious and it’s lovely that these cookies bring back special memories for you! My husband cooked spagetthi for me when we just started dating… I will never forget them, they were terrible, but I still was happy he was trying to cook for me
!
Hi Marian!
Thank you very much. The cookies do hold a special place in my memory. What a sweet story about your husbands efforts in the kitchen.
I hope you and your family are all well.
Take care
Nicole
Hi Nicole! These cookies look delicious and I definitely want to try and cook them, but I have to ask something, I hope it’s not too stupid, but can you fit an entire mini snikers on each cookie?! At first I thought you would chop them, but then you didn’t mention anything..
Hi Catarina!
There is no such thing as stupid questions
You can actually fit the mini snicker whole in the cookie. It worked best to make the cookie into a ball then use the palm of your hand to cup the ball and insert the snicker and then shape it and cover the bottom. I hope this helps. They are really wonderful…enjoy!
These look amazing! I can definitely see why they get requested!
Aww thank you Natalie!
